Forest Kindergarten Project near Královská obora in Prague
The forest has a magical atmosphere – it calms, inspires, and gives children the chance to discover the world naturally, in their own way. That's why we are delighted to have contributed to the exceptional Forest Kindergarten project near Královská obora in Prague, where we delivered custom-made houses.
Four houses – each with a different purpose
The forest kindergarten operates mainly outdoors, but both children and teachers need facilities that provide warmth, comfort, and safety. That's why we built four wooden houses on wheels, each with a clear purpose:
- Dining room with kitchen – a place where children can enjoy shared meals and warm tea after being outside.
- Sanitary facilities – a house with toilets and a washroom for hygiene and comfort.
- Two connected houses – serving as a playroom and, in an instant, transforming into a bedroom for rest.
Safety and joy in one
The houses are designed to be durable, functional, and child-friendly. Large, high-positioned windows let in plenty of light, the interior feels cozy, and the natural materials blend beautifully with the forest surroundings.
Activities in nature
Every day is different. Children in Stromovka:
-
observe birds and insects
-
collect leaves and create pictures from them
-
learn to recognize trees and their fruits
-
run across meadows, build huts from branches, and play in the natural environment
And when the weather doesn't cooperate, the cozy houses provide them with safety – a place to rest, create, or learn together.
Tailored for children and teachers
Every detail was created in close cooperation with the client. The goal was to design spaces that would naturally encourage children to spend time outdoors, while still providing them with a safe haven. And that goal was achieved.
📸 See for yourself that a house on wheels doesn't have to be just for living – it can also be a great solution for outdoor education.
